Regulation of the International Artistic Camp (IAC)

The aim of the project:
The main aim of the project is social and cultural integration of young people from different countries and different backgrounds whose real passion is contemporary dance. The programme aims at the support of the dance skills development among youth, extension of their interests as well as the promotion of artistic achievements.

The goals of the project:

• Popularization of dancing as an attractive form of multidimensional development of the personality of children and young people.
• Presentation of artistic output of dance groups
• Artistic development of young performers
• Integration of the participants
• Enabling contact between groups of similar artistic character
• Indication of the artistic development direction

Description of the project:
The project is addressed to talented youth from various countries and different backgrounds whose passion is dance. Moreover its addressees are teachers and instructors running  amateur groups. Its aim is to stimulate self-development and the exchange of experience.

Within the project framework young people are participating in workshops conducted by excellent Polish choreographs (i.a. contemporary dance, jazz, modern) the aim of which is to increase the level of dance technique of the participants. The aim of the workshops is also to show that dance reveals a universal character that enables (regardless of nationality or the dancing style) the agreement. Moreover, what the organizers want to achieve is common fun and creation of one dance choreography presented at BIM Gala Concert.

Time and place:
IAC takes place from 4th – 9th July, 2011 in Bydgoszcz.

Participants:
Participants can be amateur dance groups working on contemporary dance, jazz, modern etc.

• from so called Visegrád Group – Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland
• from other countries

Terms of participation:

• age- 15 – 25 years old
• maximum group size - 20 people
• fee of 50 euro per person (2 supervisors and the driver free)
• the obligation to prepare choreography for common learning (1 min.)
• the preparation of dance repertoire of a group with the possibility of performing during open concerts of BIM (at least 2 choreographies – the overall time 15 min.)
• costs of travel to Bydgoszcz and back as well as travelling during MOA covered by the group

Programme:
The organizers provide the participants of IAC with:

• accommodation and full board from 4-9 July, 2011 at school dorms,
• full-time English speaking pilot-translator
• taking part in common workshops, exchange of experiences
• outdoor presentations and participation in XXXIV Bydgoszcz Musical Impressions gala concert
• the opportunity to take part in all BIM events (national meeting, disco, sightseeing, swimming pool).

Applications:
The application form has to be delivered until 1st March, 2011 together with a DVD containing at least 2 min. choreographic presentation of the group. Two jpg. photos must be sent in to the e-mail address.
Groups are going to be notified about the qualification by 10th March, 2011. Application form
